The secret of the delicate scent and roundness of the Joseph Cartron Creme de Cerise de Bourgogne lies in the cherry selection and blending (Burgundy Cherry liqueur). The fruits are grown within a 25-kilometer radius of Nuits-Saint-Georges. Joseph Cartron has been supplied with two meticulously selected varieties by the same producers for many generations. The fruit proportions are very precise: 1/3 Montmorency, a bitter cherry, and 2/3 Chalonnaise, a black cherry, which gives this fruit liqueur all of its scent and orchard freshness.
Tasting Note: The nose is well-defined. With full fruit maturity, the stone takes centre stage. Exceptionally pure. The first wave in the mouth is gentle. The texture is round and sticky, with a strong aromatic fruitiness that overpowers the sweetness. The finish is excellent.
