The melons we use are from Cavaillon's renowned terroir and surrounding area. Cartron only choose the heavier fruits - those with the highest sugar content - which are harvested late in the season when they are brimming with sunshine and very ripe. Slow maceration will release the fruit's unctuous taste, as well as its freshness, which is associated with summer, and its lovely orangy colour. Joseph Cartrons Melon Liqueur is unquestionably a truly outstanding liqueur, thanks to the consistency of our special recipe.
Tasting Note: The nose is strong, with an aromatic freshness and a high level of fruit purity. The fruit has a good definition with no heaviness. It has a sugariness that is well wrapped around the fruit flesh, with a light bitterness at the end that adds to the mouth's persistence. The fruit has a pleasant recollection.
