Custom & Import Duties
At Spiritly, all our alcohol products are subject to UK alcohol tax.
For deliveries heading outside the UK, VAT will not be charged. However, your order may be subject to local sales taxes and duties upon arrival in your chosen country, imposed when the package clears customs. The recipient is responsible for any additional charges. Since customs policies differ significantly between countries, we cannot control these charges; hence, you should contact your local customs office for more information.
If you refuse to pay the local import duties and taxes, the goods will either be:
- destroyed by customs; or
- returned to the sender at the consignee's expense (costs will be deducted from any refund owed).
If your local customs office is holding your order, you can determine this from the information available through the tracking process.
For shipments to addresses in the US, customs charges will be calculated and added to your order during checkout. This enables us to complete the customs clearance process as soon as the package arrives in the US, and your order will not be subject to any further customs charges.
