Appleton Estate 8 Year Old Reserve is a premium aged Jamaican rum, masterfully crafted by Dr. Joy Spence to commemorate a special occasion. This refined spirit is a blend of pot and column still rums, each aged for a minimum of eight years in the tropical climate of Jamaica's Nassau Valley. This unique terroir, with its limestone-filtered water and specific yeast strains, imparts a distinctive character to the rum. It presents a beautiful balance of spicy fruit and toasted oak on the nose, complemented by hints of brown sugar, honey, and the signature Appleton orange peel note. The palate is smooth and well-balanced with a medium body, followed by an exceptionally smooth, medium-to-long finish with lingering warmth and molasses. This versatile 86 proof rum is superb for sipping neat or elevating classic cocktails like the Mai Tai.
