Henriques & Henriques 10 Year Old Malvasia Madeira is a luxurious and highly-regarded expression of Malmsey, the richest and sweetest style of Madeira wine. Malvasia grapes are grown on the sunnier parts of the island, and the wine is aged for a minimum of ten years using the traditional Canteiro method, where casks are stored in the warmer upper floors of the lodges to promote oxidative aging. This extended maturation imparts a deep, beautiful amber color and complex aromas of dried fig, toasted nuts, honey, and rich molasses. On the palate, it delivers a velvety, full-bodied experience with a beautiful balance of intense sweetness and refreshing acidity, culminating in an extremely long and satisfying finish. It is an exceptional dessert wine, perfect when paired with dark chocolate or strong cheeses, and is best enjoyed slightly chilled.
