Just as his art blended tradition with exploration, this whisky unites the craft of Western distillation with the heritage of China’s landscapes and ancient traditions.Born in the Liuyang river canyon of Hunan province, Chinnery Chinese Whisky reflects a terroir of natural advantage: fertile soils for barley and maize, pure soft water from shale rock, and a humid climate that nurtures slow, complex maturation. The journey begins with a smooth, sweet single grain whisky crafted from maize, layered with double-distilled, non-peated malt made from locally grown barley. Matured in carefully re-charred bourbon casks, Chinnery Chinese Whisky delivers a harmonious balance of vanilla cream, toffee, and gentle baking spice. Elegant, refined and adventurous, this whisky is presented in a bottle inspired by traditional Chinese ceramics, accented in red to symbolise fire, life, and renewal.
