Knockando 12 Years Whisky is a distinguished Speyside single malt, famed for its light, fruity, and delicate profile. Distilled at the historic Knockando Distillery, founded in 1898, the name means 'little black hill' in Gaelic. This expression became famous for its soft, approachable style, often referred to as a "vintage" malt, as each bottle displays the year of distillation and bottling. Aged primarily in ex-Bourbon barrels, the maturation process imparts fine, subtle complexity. On the palate, expect soft fruit notes, a delicate nuttiness, and a creamy texture with hints of almond. The finish is gentle and refined, showcasing notes of toffee and cream before becoming drier.
