Mackmyra Moment ??? Virvelvind is a brilliantly bold Swedish single malt, bottled at 46.8% ABV, representing the final release in the Moment series. This complex expression showcases a unique combination of casks, making it a rich and intense dram. It includes peated and unpeated whisky matured in bourbon casks, alongside whisky aged in new Swedish oak casks and second-fill Oloroso sherry casks. The resulting profile is layered and dynamic. The nose is inviting, featuring notes of brown sugar, subtle toastiness, a flash of citrus peel, soft smoke, and pear drops. On the palate, orange notes persist, complemented by toffee and vanilla, while a hint of smoky spice builds in the background. It finishes with drying oak touches and a suggestion of rum-soaked raisin, offering exceptional depth and character for the discerning whisky enthusiast.
