Due to the difficulty of sourcing true Caribbean rum in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Stroh created his own spirit by adding unique spices, essences, and flavorings to a neutral alcohol base. This approach resulted in a distinctive product known as Inl??nder Rum, which is now protected by EU regulation as an exclusively Austrian spirit. Bottled at 40% ABV, Stroh 40 offers a powerful and aromatic profile characterized by notes of vanilla, caramel, clove, cinnamon, and subtle floral tones.
