Talisker Surge is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Skye, bottled exclusively for travel retail. This expression captures the wild, coastal character for which the distillery is famous, offering an intensified surge of flavor. It is matured in ex-Bourbon American oak casks and bottled at a robust 45.8% ABV. The nose is immediately inviting, presenting powerful maritime notes of sea spray, smoke, and dried mint, alongside hints of sweet toasted oak. On the palate, a rush of spicy heat???characteristic of Talisker???s ???Made by the Sea??? identity???meets rich, sweet vanilla and honeyed malt. The finish is long, warm, and peppery, leaving a lingering, satisfying sweetness and a definitive trace of volcanic ash and sea salt. It is an exhilarating and intense dram, best enjoyed neat to savor its elemental nature.
