Westward Stout Cask American Single Malt Whiskey is an exceptional expression from Oregon, crafted by finishing the distillery???s award-winning Single Malt in ex-ale and ex-stout casks for one year. This unique secondary maturation imparts a rich, complex profile that highlights the influence of the stout beer. Distilled from local barley and aged in heavily charred oak casks before its stout cask finish, the whiskey achieves a deep gold color. On the nose, it offers inviting notes of hazelnut, honeycomb, caramel, and roasted barley. The palate is velvety, revealing flavors of milk chocolate, almond toffee, banana, and a hint of mint. Bottled at 46% ABV, the finish is long and lingering, showing hints of almond chocolate, citrus, and oak vanilla. It is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to savor its depth and complexity.
