Wolfburn Northland Whisky is a vibrant expression from Scotland's northernmost mainland distillery, resurrecting a historic name dating back to 1821. Crafted using locally sourced water and lightly peated malt, this single malt is aged predominantly in smaller quarter casks, which previously held Islay whisky, alongside ex-Bourbon barrels. This distinct maturation profile imbues Northland with a coastal character. On the palate, expect initial notes of sweet vanilla and light spice, swiftly followed by subtle maritime smoke, peat, and a whisper of sea salt. The result is a beautifully balanced, smooth, and approachable whisky that captures the rugged spirit of its Highland origin.
