Domaine la Soufrandise, found in the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation, has six hectares of vines to their name. Over half of these vines (all of which are Chardonnay) are aged at over 45 years or older, spread over a multitude of different plots of vineyards (more than 20) allowing many possibilities of blending or selection. They are farmed organically, however are not certified, and wine making is done, in their words, 'with as little handling as possible'.
Tasting notes: This is a powerful, concentrated Pouilly-Fuissé. The nose reveals aromas of stone-fruit, toasty oak and a hint of honey. Already balanced and complex, it will only improve with time.
