Plantation Grande Reserve Rum is a sophisticated blend of aged rums from Barbados, a region celebrated for its traditional pot still and column still distillation methods. This expression is initially matured in ex-Bourbon casks in the Caribbean's tropical climate, accelerating the aging process and developing rich, deep flavor notes. Following this, the rum is shipped to France and undergoes a second maturation phase in Ferrand French oak casks, a technique known as "double aging." This finishing step imparts elegant complexity, introducing subtle tannins and nutty notes. The result is a smooth, well-balanced spirit featuring a profile of vanilla, exotic fruits, coconut, and hints of cacao. This Grande Reserve is bottled at a refined proof, making it an excellent choice for sipping neat or as the base for premium rum cocktails.
