Named after the windswept Machrie Moor peat bog on the island's west coast, this single malt captures the classic fresh Arran character enhanced by a distinct puff of peat smoke.
Bottled at cask strength, typically around 56-61% ABV, it delivers a powerful yet balanced tasting experience. The nose is vibrant and complex, featuring immediate citrus notes complemented by a background of dry, subtle peat and smoke. On the palate, the typical Arran orchard fruits come to the fore, layered over toasted brioche, red berries, and creamy vanilla, culminating in a long-lasting finish that balances sharp citrus with the lingering, coastal peat smoke.
