Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt Whisky is a refined and elegant expression from the Miyagikyo Distillery, built in 1969 amidst the beautiful hills of northern Japan. Unlike its sister distillery, Yoichi, Miyagikyo uses steam-heated pot stills and less peated malt, resulting in a lighter, fruitier, and more floral profile.
This single malt showcases superb balance and complexity. The nose is delicate, offering notes of fresh flowers, green apple, and honeyed malt. On the palate, it is exceptionally smooth and soft, layering flavors of sweet citrus, vanilla, and subtle spice. The finish is clean, warm, and lingering, reflecting the pure water source and careful maturation in a variety of casks. It is perfect for those who appreciate a graceful and aromatic Japanese whisky.
