Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt Whisky is a harmonious tribute to Masataka Taketsuru, the father of Japanese whisky. Classified as a "pure malt," this layered expression is a careful blend of 100% malt whiskies sourced from Nikka's two distinct distilleries: the peated character of Yoichi and the fruit-forward elegance of Miyagikyo.
The result is a beautifully balanced and smooth spirit. The nose offers enticing notes of light smoke, honey, dried apricot, and toffee. On the palate, expect flavors of stone fruits, gentle cocoa, soft peat, and malt, culminating in a medium-long finish with sweet malt and subtle spice.
