Rittenhouse Straight Rye Whiskey is a classic bottled-in-bond expression, revered for its bold, spicy character that defines the quintessential Pennsylvania-style rye. Produced under the strict Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, it is aged for at least four years, distilled in a single season, and bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV), ensuring a rich and robust profile.
This high-rye mash bill delivers assertive notes of baking spices, pepper, and dried fruit, beautifully balanced by undertones of toasted oak, vanilla, and caramel. Its intensity and complexity make it the preferred choice for mixologists crafting pre-Prohibition cocktails. It excels in spirit-forward classics like the Manhattan or the Sazerac, where its potent flavor cuts through and elevates the drink.
