Talisker Port Ruighe is a rich and compelling Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Isle of Skye, celebrated for combining the distillery's signature maritime peat smoke with the lush sweetness of port wine. After initial maturation in traditional oak casks, this expression is finished in deep-charred American oak casks that previously held port wine.
This secondary maturation process imparts layers of complexity. On the nose, it offers robust notes of peat, sea spray, and black pepper, which yield to sweet, ripe berries and dark fruit. The palate is fiery yet smooth, balancing the classic Talisker intensity with rich plum, raisin, and smoky malt. The finish is long, warm, and memorable, featuring lingering cocoa and spice.
