Unlike many of its smoky Islay counterparts, Bunnahabhain is known for its iconic smooth, spirit-driven style. Matured primarily in a blend of first and second-fill sherry casks, the name "Sti??ireadair" (meaning 'helmsman' in Gaelic) reflects the distillery???s maritime location overlooking the Sound of Islay. This expression greets the nose with robust aromas of dried fruit and creamy caramel, subtly underscored by a bracing hint of sea brine and vanilla. The palate delivers a wonderfully creamy mouthfeel, balancing sweet flavors of dried fruit and caramel with a distinct savory kiss of sea salt and gentle spice. Bottled non-chill filtered, the Sti??ireadair offers exceptional depth and a long, lingering finish, transporting the drinker directly to the rugged Bunnahabhain Bay.
