Clonakilty Port Cask Irish Whiskey is a triple-distilled, non-chill filtered single pot still and single malt blend, celebrated for its unique maturation profile. This expression is initially aged in ex-Bourbon barrels before being finished in premium Port Hogsheads sourced directly from the Douro Valley in Portugal. This finishing process imparts a distinctive depth and a rich spectrum of fruit and spice flavors. The nose reveals sweet notes of peach, honey, and vanilla, leading to a palate rich with dark berries, toasted oak, and a velvety texture. The Port Cask finish provides a lingering warmth and complexity, showcasing the distillery’s commitment to quality and terroir. It is bottled at 43.6% ABV, making it a sophisticated and flavorful pour for any whiskey enthusiast.
