Compass Box The Spice Tree is a compelling Blended Malt Scotch Whisky renowned for its rich spice notes and intensity. This expression is the result of a creative???and initially controversial???approach by Compass Box, where Highland malts are aged on heavy toasted, new French oak derived from 195-year-old Vosges forests. The resulting spirit is matured using bespoke hybrid casks, which impart deep, complex, spice-like flavors that complement the underlying fruity maltiness. Bottled at a robust 46% ABV and non-chill filtered to retain maximum character, The Spice Tree offers inviting notes of clove, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla on the nose, transitioning to a palate layered with toasted oak accents. It is highly regarded for after-dinner sipping, particularly alongside cheese or dark chocolate.
