Dewar's 8 Years French Smooth Apple is a unique blended Scotch whisky that combines traditional Scottish aging with a modern, flavorful finish. This expression is initially aged for a minimum of eight years in oak casks, achieving the signature smoothness and balanced character for which Dewar's is known. Following the initial maturation, the whisky is finished in select apple brandy casks, typically Calvados casks from France. This secondary maturation imparts a distinctively sweet and crisp fruit profile, layering notes of baked apple, honey, and subtle spice over the classic Scotch foundation of heather and vanilla. The result is an exceptionally approachable and smooth whisky that maintains depth and complexity. Bottled at 40% ABV, it offers a refreshing twist on a traditional dram, excellent for sipping neat, on the rocks, or as the base for creative whisky cocktails.
