Egan's Conviction 10 Year Old Irish Whiskey is a truly decadent blend, meticulously crafted from single malt and single grain Irish whiskey, each aged for a minimum of ten years. This expression achieves exceptional complexity through its maturation, which is perfected by a finishing period in rich XO Cognac casks. The resulting whiskey offers a sophisticated profile. On the nose, enjoy floral notes, honey, and dried apricot, with a subtle hint of vanilla. The palate is light yet complex, revealing flavors of light wafers, new leather, sultanas, and almond, alongside touches of ginger-infused chocolate and zesty fruits. It concludes with a long, gentle finish where ginger returns, balanced by lemon zest and a touch of licorice.
