Hyde No. 6 President’s Reserve is a meticulously crafted Irish single malt whiskey, distilled in copper pot stills and aged for an impressive 18 years in selected American oak bourbon barrels. The spirit then undergoes a final maturation period, or "finish," in Spanish Oloroso Sherry butts. This secondary aging process is crucial, imparting a deep, rich complexity and a beautiful ruby-red hue to the whiskey.
The nose is inviting, offering warm aromas of dried fruit, nuts, dark chocolate, and spicy oak. On the palate, expect a velvety texture with layers of cherry, vanilla, and sweet baking spices, culminating in a long, satisfying finish. This non-chill filtered whiskey, bottled at a robust proof, celebrates the traditional craftsmanship of Irish distilling and is best savored neat to fully appreciate its depth and character.
