Jura The Sound is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Jura, a unique expression celebrating the island's coastal environment. This whisky is initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in casks that previously held Pedro Ximénez sherry. This dual maturation imparts a distinctive balance between the sweet and savory characteristics. The palate reveals notes of sweet honey and caramel, harmoniously balanced with hints of subtle sea spray, warming spice, and roasted nuts. The finish is long and satisfying, carrying a delicate smoke and a pleasant sweetness. Bottled at 42.5% ABV, this is a smooth, approachable dram that captures the spirit and rugged landscape of its island home.
