Kilchoman Sanaig is a distinctive single malt Scotch whisky from Islay, celebrated for its unique balance between heavy sherry influence and classic Islay peat smoke. This expression is matured in a blend of Oloroso sherry casks and bourbon barrels, with a higher proportion of the liquid coming from the sherry butts compared to other Kilchoman releases. The resulting profile is complex and layered. The nose offers dark fruit, caramel, and strong maritime smoke. On the palate, rich notes of dried fruit, honey, and vanilla from the sherry are beautifully intertwined with Kilchoman???s signature intense peat and a lingering spice. Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered, it offers a velvety mouthfeel and a long, warm, smoky finish that appeals to both peat and sherry enthusiasts.
