Loch Lomond 30 Year Old Single Malt is a truly exceptional whisky, representing the pinnacle of the distillery's craftsmanship. This distinguished Highland single malt utilizes unpeated spirit distilled through the unique straight-neck stills, which contributes to its deep fruity character. A long maturation process has allowed it to develop a refined balance and complexity. It is aged in American oak casks, with half of the whisky receiving a final finish in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks before being married together. The result is a sophisticated profile: the nose greets you with rich honey, peach, and melon, complemented by vanilla and cinnamon. The palate offers a beautiful complexity of toffee fudge sweetness, crisp green apple, and fresh pineapple, leading into gentle spice like ginger and nutmeg. Bottled at 46% ABV and non-chill filtered, the finish is long, elegant, and filled with juicy green fruit and a faint trace of sweet caramel and oak.
