The MARS Tsunuki Edition 2022 Single Malt is an exceptional Japanese whisky distilled and matured at the Tsunuki Distillery in Kagoshima. This limited-edition expression is crafted from lightly peated malted barley and aged for three to four years primarily in first- and second-fill bourbon barrels. This careful maturation delivers a perfectly balanced and flavorful profile. On the nose, you'll discover notes of lemon cake and black tea, accompanied by a light, gentle smoke. The palate is rich with sweet and bitter citrus flavors, such as orange marmalade, deepened by buttered toast and cocoa nibs. It finishes long with lingering notes of chocolate malt and lemon zest. This whisky was a Double Gold medalist at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, making it a highly regarded and collectible release.
