Old Ballantruan 15 Year Old is a distinctive single malt Scotch whisky from the Tomintoul Distillery, part of its peated line, bottled at a robust 50% ABV (100 Proof) and non-chill filtered. Hailing from the Speyside region of Scotland, this expression offers a compelling balance between rich, sweet Speyside character and pronounced peat smoke.
Aged for 15 years, it presents a barley-gold color and greets the nose with gentle peat-reek and mild gun-flint notes, softened by creamy malt and hints of herbal, heathery spice. On the palate, the smokiness is apparent but well-tempered by rich toffee sweetness, vanilla, and gentle oaky spice, creating a laid-back yet powerful profile.
