Penderyn Peated is a distinctive single malt whisky produced at the Welsh distillery, celebrated for introducing a delicate yet expressive peat influence. Unlike heavily phenolic Islay malts, Penderyn uses a lighter touch, resulting in a beautifully balanced dram. Distilled in Penderyn's unique Faraday still, the spirit is aged in former bourbon casks before being finished in peated whisky casks. This secondary maturation imparts subtle notes of campfire smoke and maritime saltiness, beautifully layered over the whisky's signature profile of fresh fruit, vanilla, and sweet honey.
