Shortcross Rye & Malt Whiskey is a distinct Irish whiskey crafted from a unique mash bill of 100% Irish malted barley and rye, distilled in copper pot stills at the Rademon Estate Distillery. This specific composition delivers a complex profile that bridges the spicy assertiveness of American rye with the creamy smoothness typical of Irish single malt.
Matured in a combination of new American oak and ex-bourbon barrels, this whiskey presents inviting notes of toasted oak, vanilla, and sweet honey on the nose. The palate is rich and balanced, featuring a peppery spice from the rye, complemented by layers of dark fruit, citrus zest, and a smooth malt character. The finish is long, warm, and exceptionally elegant, making it an excellent choice for savoring neat or as the foundation for a premium whiskey cocktail.
