Starward Unexpeated Whisky is a unique Australian single malt that brilliantly blends Starward’s signature tropical fruit profile with an unexpected twist of peat smoke. This innovative expression is matured in red wine barrels, contributing a juicy, fruity character to the spirit.
On the nose, expect an inviting complexity of tropical fruits, toasted oak, and a subtle suggestion of sweet peat. The palate offers a vibrant combination of ripe red berries, yellow peaches, and cocoa nibs, all seamlessly integrated with a gentle, coastal peat smoke. The finish is long and satisfying, with the red wine influence slowing giving way to a lingering, smoldering dry peat character. It's an exceptionally balanced whisky, perfect for those who enjoy complexity and a hint of unexpected smokiness.
