The Dalmore 15 Years Whisky is a distinguished Highland Single Malt that exemplifies the distillery’s commitment to multi-cask maturation. This expression spends its initial twelve years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks before being split into three different sherry wood types: Amoroso, Apostoles, and Matusalem Oloroso sherry butts. After a three-year period, the whiskies are reunited to create a complex and balanced flavor profile.
This intricate process results in a deep amber spirit with notes of orange marmalade, rich honey, vanilla, and ginger spice on the nose. The palate is full-bodied, offering flavors of mandarin, dark chocolate, crushed almonds, and dried fruit. The finish is long, warming, and distinctly sherry-driven, marking it as a luxurious and refined dram perfect for sipping neat.
