The Deveron 12 Years Whisky is a coastal single malt Scotch, hailing from the Highland region and produced at the Macduff distillery, situated where the River Deveron meets the sea. This 12-year expression is known for its light, approachable, and mellow character, often described as a "gentle giant." Matured primarily in a mix of European and American oak casks, it offers a beautifully balanced flavor profile. Expect bright notes of orchard fruit—such as apples and pears—balanced by hints of toasted cereal, vanilla, and a slight maritime saltiness. The whisky is often characterized by a creamy, dry finish. Bottled at 40% ABV, it serves as an excellent introduction to Speyside-adjacent coastal malts, making it delightful neat, or as a smooth foundation for classic cocktails.
