Togouchi Kiwami Whisky is a unique Japanese blended whisky, distinct for its unconventional maturation process within a disused railway tunnel in the town of Togouchi, Hiroshima. This cooler, more stable environment provides ideal aging conditions. Kiwami, meaning "ultimate" or "exquisite," is a blend that harmoniously combines malt and grain whiskies sourced from overseas and finished in Japan. It presents a smooth and gentle profile, showcasing notes of honey, cereal, and light peat smoke on the nose. The palate is clean and balanced, featuring flavors of sweet vanilla, dried fruit, and a subtle spice. The finish is medium-length and warming, making this expression an approachable and intriguing entry point into the world of Japanese blended whisky.
