Wolfburn Aurora is a complex and approachable single malt Scotch whisky from the northernmost distillery on the Scottish mainland. Named after the Northern Lights, this expression is crafted using unpeated spirit and primarily matured in a combination of first-fill Bourbon and refill Oloroso Sherry casks. This maturation profile yields a beautifully balanced dram, offering a vibrant character with a rich, welcoming depth. The nose presents sweet notes of vanilla, toasted oak, and dried fruit. On the palate, expect flavors of rich caramel, subtle spice, and a gentle wood smoke that leads to a long, warm, and smooth finish. Bottled at 46% ABV, it is non-chill filtered to preserve its full natural character.
