Fortaleza Reposado Tequila is a highly respected expression crafted in Jalisco, Mexico, using traditional methods. Made from 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave, the pi??as are slow-cooked in a stone oven (tahona) and crushed by a two-ton stone wheel before being fermented in wooden vats. It is then double distilled in copper pot stills, yielding a rich, full-bodied spirit. The tequila is aged for 6 to 8 months in American oak barrels, which imparts a lovely golden hue and complex flavor. Expect a profile that beautifully balances the sweet, cooked agave core with warm notes of caramel, vanilla, butterscotch, and light spice. It is renowned for its silky mouthfeel and clean, lingering finish, making it a benchmark for quality reposado. This is an exceptional sipping tequila.
