The Whistler Imperial Stout Cask Whiskey is an innovative and richly flavored Irish whiskey. It begins as a premium blend of Irish Malt and Single Grain whiskies, initially aged for four years in bourbon casks. The spirit is then given a unique finishing period in ex-sherry casks that were previously seasoned with Imperial Stout from the Boann Brew House. This dual maturation process imparts a deep, complex character. The nose offers dark berries, bitter coffee, and creamy cocoa. On the palate, the stout influence shines through with velvety notes of dark chocolate, coffee, and hints of caramel and toffee. Bottled at proof, non-chill filtered, and retaining its natural color, this expression delivers a long, creamy, and sophisticated finish.
