Balcones Eclipse Texas Rye Whisky is a powerful, cask-strength expression from the Texan distillers, Balcones. This bold spirit is distilled in a traditional pot still after being co-fermented with 'ale and whisky yeasts.' It is then aged for approximately four years in charred new American oak casks, developing an intensely flavorful and full-bodied profile.
Bottled at a fearsome 64% ABV, Balcones Eclipse delivers a complex array of notes. Expect layers of thick caramel, sweet vanilla, and rich rye bread, complemented by hints of leather, dried fruits, dark chocolate, coffee, and tobacco.
