Linie Aquavit is a distinguished Norwegian spirit defined by a unique and traditional maturation process: every cask embarks on a four-month sea voyage, crossing the equator???the 'Linie'???twice. This constant rolling and temperature fluctuation at sea allow the aquavit to develop unparalleled smoothness and balance. Distilled primarily with caraway and other Nordic botanicals, the spirit is matured in Oloroso sherry oak casks. The sherry remnants impart a subtle sweetness and a beautiful golden color, while the oak and the journey itself infuse the aquavit with complex notes of wood, vanilla, and spice. This rich, well-balanced character makes it exceptional for sipping neat and chilled, or as a sophisticated base in cocktails.
