Mackmyra Svensk Ek Whisky is a pioneering single malt that highlights the unique impact of Swedish oak, grown on the island of Visingsö. Initially aged in American oak, this expression receives a long finish in small Swedish oak casks, which are known for their high concentration of flavor-imparting compounds. This results in a distinctive and complex profile, featuring pronounced notes of spicy black pepper, ginger, and cardamom, beautifully balanced by creamy vanilla, dried fruit, and toasted oak. Bottled without age statement, the intense maturation process yields a mature, full-bodied whisky with a lingering, warm finish. It is a bold, modern interpretation of single malt Scotch techniques infused with unique Scandinavian character.
