Aberlour A’bunadh Batch 78 is a cask strength single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, bottled at 60.7% ABV. A’bunadh, meaning “of the origin” in Gaelic, is a tribute to Aberlour founder James Fleming and is matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks. This non-chill filtered expression delivers a bold and rich flavor profile. The nose is complex and enticing, featuring notes of buttered malt bread, ginger, orange, and Christmas cake. On the palate, expect a powerful wave of flavor with dark chocolate mousse, rich Christmas cake, cherry, spices, and nuts. The finish is long and warming, highlighting sherry, oak, and dried fruits, with a hint of earthy undertones and sugared almonds remaining.
