Abuelo Tawny Port Rum is a stunning expression from Varela Hermanos S.A. in Panama, showcasing their commitment to quality aged rum with a unique finishing touch. This rum is initially aged in white oak bourbon barrels before being finished in Tawny Port wine casks from Portugal. This secondary maturation imparts rich, complex notes of dried red fruit, sweet vanilla, and a velvety texture. On the palate, expect a beautiful balance of tropical fruit and dark chocolate, layered with subtle oak spice and the characteristic sweetness of Tawny Port.
