Amrut Naarangi, which means "orange" in Hindi, is an innovative Indian single malt whisky. This unique expression is the result of finishing a three-year-old whisky for an additional three years in sherry casks that were seasoned with oranges from Madikeri in the Western Ghats of India. Bottled at 50% ABV, it delivers a fascinating balance between traditional malt character and distinct citrus notes. The nose is complex and inviting, featuring warm spices, sherry, vanilla, and prominent orange peel oil. On the palate, expect a thick, almost syrupy texture, with flavors of orange cake, spice, and light oak. It is celebrated for achieving a rich, orangey profile without tasting like a liqueur, offering a medium to long finish with lingering notes of orange and a subtle pepper spice.
