Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur is an authentic, hand-crafted spirit distilled in Puebla, Mexico, using the region’s revered ancho chile—sun-dried, ripened poblano peppers. This complex liqueur is the first of its kind since the 1940s, reviving a traditional Mexican *licor de chile*. The distinct process involves drying and macerating the chiles for six months to draw out their rich, smoky, and bittersweet characteristics. Bottled at 40% ABV, Ancho Reyes offers a velvety texture and a multi-layered profile featuring notes of cinnamon, cacao, and a mild, enduring heat. It is a highly versatile modifier that adds depth and spice to classic cocktails like Margaritas and Old Fashioneds, or can be enjoyed neat for a truly unique experience.
