Avallen Calvados is an award-winning apple brandy from Normandy, France, recognized for its commitment to sustainability and exceptional quality. This Calvados is crafted from 100% locally sourced apples and aged in French oak barrels for a minimum of two years. Avallen presents a vibrant, refreshing profile, distinct from heavier, traditional brandies. On the nose, you'll find bright notes of fresh apple blossom, citrus, and honey. The palate delivers a smooth, clean taste of baked apples, subtle spice, and a hint of vanilla from the oak aging. It is bottled at 40% ABV with no added sugar, caramel, or artificial coloring, ensuring a pure expression of the apple spirit. This versatile spirit is excellent for mixing in cocktails, such as an elevated Highball or a refreshing Appletini, but remains smooth enough to be savored neat or over ice.
