Banhez Tobala Mezcal is an exceptional single-agave expression crafted from 100% wild Tobala (Agave Potatorum), a rare maguey known for its intense aromatics and slow maturation, sometimes taking up to 30 years to harvest. Produced in La Compania, Oaxaca, by Maestros like Gonzalo Hernandez Bigotes and Luis Pacheco, this mezcal is distilled in copper pot stills following time-honoured ancestral methods, including roasting the pinas in underground pits, which imparts a signature subtle smoke. It offers a complex, smooth flavor profile that showcases the wild agave's character. Expect notes of green mango, leather, and fresh green herbs. Its clean, vibrant, and earthy finish makes it an ideal choice for sipping neat to appreciate its unique complexity, or as a sophisticated base for elevated cocktails.
