Barceló Gran Añejo Rum is a distinguished expression from the Dominican Republic, celebrated for its rich depth and balanced character. This exceptional rum is the result of a perfect blend of the finest Dominican spirits, patiently aged for up to six years in first-use American oak ex-Bourbon barriques. The careful maturation process imparts a lovely amber color and a profile that is both nuanced and approachable.
On the nose and palate, Barceló Gran Añejo offers pleasant reminiscences of creamy vanilla and chocolate, followed by a subtle caramelized nutty flavor. This results in a smooth, semi-dry body, making it wonderfully versatile.
