Bitter Truth EXR Liqueur is a premium, high-proof elixir designed to replace the classic but sometimes hard-to-source ingredients found in vintage cocktail recipes. EXR stands for "Extra Rich" and is crafted with a complex blend of botanicals, including wormwood, gentian, and cinchona bark, resulting in a distinctly bitter and herbaceous profile.
Bottled at 44% ABV, this intensely flavored spirit acts as a robust aromatic bitter and a strong modifier. It is characterized by notes of dark spice, deep raisin, subtle smoke, and root vegetables, offering an unparalleled depth of flavor. Its intensity makes it a crucial component for classic drinks like the Corpse Reviver No. 2, adding structure and sophistication. It’s an essential bottle for serious cocktail enthusiasts looking to recreate or invent complex, historical drinks.
